Theni Cyber Crime Police Arrest Abhijit Singh for Fraud, Recover Stolen Items

The Theni district cyber crime wing police have arrested Abhijit Singh (36), a resident of Dwarka, New Delhi, on charges of cheating and committing fraud under Section 66D of the Information Technology Act. The arrest, made on Monday, follows an extensive investigation into fraudulent activities involving stolen financial documents.

During the operation, the police recovered a significant amount of evidence from Singh, including 104 debit/credit cards, 28 cheque books, five mobile phones, and a laptop. These items were believed to have been used in various fraudulent activities.

Abhijit Singh was produced before the court and has been remanded in judicial custody while further investigations continue.
