Terrance Gaines Arrested for Drug Trafficking, Domestic Violence, and Gun Charges

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) — A 60-year-old man has been arrested on multiple charges, including drug trafficking and domestic violence, after an incident in Anderson County.

Deputies from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance at an apartment on Old North Church Road. Neighbors reported hearing a heated argument between a couple, followed by the sound of a gunshot. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered a shell casing in the parking lot and learned that Terrance Gaines had allegedly fired the shot after preventing a woman from leaving the apartment.

Inside the apartment, authorities found a Crown Royal bag containing cocaine stored in vacuum-sealed bags, along with a firearm. The drugs weighed a total of 506 grams, including two bags, one containing 477 grams and the other about 29 grams of cocaine.

Gaines is now facing several charges, including:

Trafficking cocaine (400 grams or more)
Breach of peace, high and aggravated
Domestic violence (1st degree)
Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
He has been booked into the Anderson County Detention Center.
