Tennessee Couple Arrested in Florida for Stolen Car and Drug Charges

Mulberry, FL – Aaron Waters, 40, and Brooke Leon, 35, from Dunlap, Tennessee, were arrested in Florida after deputies discovered they were driving a stolen vehicle. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office located the Nissan in Mulberry, FL, on March 14, which had been reported stolen from Hamilton County, Tennessee.

Upon investigation, deputies found that Brooke Leon had two active warrants out of Tennessee, though Florida authorities decided not to extradite her.

However, both Leon and Waters were not in the clear. They were arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on charges of motor vehicle theft, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd humorously referred to the arrest as a welcome to his “Bed & Breakfast,” a playful reference to the county jail.
