Teneric Jovan Collins-Jones Arrested for Stealing $3,000 Worth of Perfume from Navarro Pharmacy

MIAMI-DADE, FL – Teneric Jovan Collins-Jones, a 35-year-old man from Miami-Dade, is facing serious charges after authorities say he stole thousands of dollars worth of perfume from a local Navarro Discount Pharmacy in December.

On Monday, Collins-Jones was arrested and charged with burglary of an occupied structure and third-degree grand theft, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office. The charges stem from a theft that took place on December 20th, 2024, at the Navarro Pharmacy located at 14405 SW 88th Street, in the Kendale Lakes area.

Authorities report that around 7:30 p.m., Collins-Jones entered the store while it was occupied by both customers and employees. Surveillance footage revealed that he jumped over the fragrance counter into a restricted employee-only area, carrying a white laundry bin.

Once behind the counter, Collins-Jones allegedly stole various perfume products valued at approximately $3,187, placing the items into the bin before exiting the store around 7:40 p.m. without attempting to pay. A store employee witnessed the entire theft, which was captured on the store’s security cameras.

Further investigation led authorities to discover that Collins-Jones was already in custody at the Miami-Dade County Pre-Trial Detention Center on unrelated charges. Detectives from the Hammocks District Burglary Unit connected him to several other similar thefts at different Navarro stores, noting that he employed the same method each time.

During questioning, Collins-Jones was read his Miranda rights and confessed to the crime, although specific details of his statement have not been released.

As of Wednesday, Collins-Jones remains in custody, with his bond yet to be determined. Authorities are continuing their investigation into his potential involvement in other retail thefts in the area.
