Taylor Renee Jones Arrested for Alleged Scam at Pretty Little Things Boutique

Embezzlement Charges Follow Reports of Customer Fraud in 2023

by Sophia Bennett

Campbell County, Va. – Taylor Renee Jones was arrested on Wednesday night in connection with a series of alleged business scams involving Pretty Little Things Boutique. Jones, facing a felony charge of embezzlement, is under investigation for defrauding customers in 2023. Authorities indicate that additional charges could be forthcoming.

This arrest follows an ABC13 report from December 2023, which revealed that Pretty Little Things Boutique was under investigation after numerous customers reported being scammed. Shoppers claimed they either never received their ordered products or were denied refunds or credits.

Jenna Foster, one of the victims, expressed relief at the arrest but still hopes to recover her money. “Maybe hopefully she will have to pay restitution, maybe I will get my money back—but if not, I don’t want her to be able to keep doing this,” Foster stated.

Jones is scheduled to appear in Campbell County Circuit Court on December 18 for further proceedings. The investigation continues, and additional charges may be filed against Jones.
