A Texas woman, Tatyana Evans, 23, has been arrested and charged with the murder of her boyfriend, 28-year-old Geovanni Montague. The tragic incident took place on February 11, when Montague was found outside his home with multiple gunshot wounds, lying on the ground in what authorities have described as a volatile relationship between the two.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that the shooting occurred after a confrontation on February 9. Evans allegedly confronted Montague about texts from another woman found on his phone, which led to a heated argument. Investigators believe the murder was a result of jealousy.
Montague, a decorated Army veteran who had been working for Amazon at the time of his death, was found in front of his home, which he shared with his mother. Evans was arrested on February 11 and charged with murder. She is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.
Evans is scheduled to appear in court on April 3 for her hearing. This case highlights the potential consequences of domestic disputes fueled by jealousy, as well as the tragedy of losing a life in such circumstances.
