Target Employee Arrested for Stealing $1,900 from Lake Park Store

A Target employee in Lake Park, Florida, is facing grand theft charges after allegedly stealing $1,900 in cash from the store’s registers over several weeks. Weser Wahib Curry, 33, was arrested on March 12 following an investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO).

According to the arrest report, the thefts took place on February 14, February 25, and February 26, at the Target store located at 500 North Congress Avenue. Curry was caught on surveillance footage using the “open cash drawer” option at the register to steal cash and conceal it before leaving the register.

The store’s Loss Prevention Supervisor witnessed the incidents, and surveillance footage further corroborated the thefts. Curry later admitted to the crime, explaining that he was behind on bill payments.

Curry was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on charges of grand theft, with the amount stolen exceeding $750.
