Tama Teen Arrested for Burglary, Theft, and Weapon Threats

An 18-year-old from Tama, Iowa, has been arrested after allegedly stealing a rifle and threatening to kill his family members. Logan Kurth faces charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree theft, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to police, Kurth stole an AR-15 style rifle, valued at nearly $2,800, from a family member’s shed on Monday. After taking the gun, he drove off, leading to a police investigation. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident, and authorities were able to recover the stolen rifle without further escalation.

Kurth was taken into custody, and authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the theft and threats.
