The Surat crime branch successfully arrested three members of a burglary gang on Monday, who were involved in a series of thefts across Surat, Valsad, Bhilad, and Vapi. The trio had committed thefts over three consecutive nights earlier this month, and their arrest led to the detection of 14 theft cases.
The suspects, identified as Mohan alias Bidi Juni, Satvir Singh alias Sattu Tank, and Trishul Singh alias Anil Singh Dudhani, were first involved in stealing a car from the Chowk Bazar area of Surat on December 16. Using the stolen vehicle, they proceeded with their crime spree across multiple locations.
On the early morning of December 17, they stole cash from a medical store near People’s Crossroads in Surat. The following day, they traveled to Valsad, where they broke into several homes near Atul Company, making off with valuables and cash. The gang then continued their rampage, burglarizing homes and shops in Vapi and Bhilad on December 19.
Through careful investigation, the crime branch was able to identify the culprits and connect them to multiple thefts. They have been arrested and charged with a range of crimes under local theft and burglary laws. The police are continuing their investigation and expect to uncover more details as the suspects face legal action.
