Surajpur Man Arrested for Smuggling 9.30 Grams of Heroin

On Thursday, the Surajpur police arrested a 22-year-old man named Jatin for allegedly smuggling heroin in the region. Acting on a tip-off, the police seized 9.30 grams of heroin from Jatin near Kheda Mandir in Bhurji Colony.

Jatin, a resident of Surajpur, reportedly brought the heroin from Chandigarh and was distributing it in local areas including Surajpur, Chandimandir, and Pinjore.

ASI Sandeep led the operation and successfully apprehended Jatin. The police have filed a case under Section 21 of the NDPS Act, and he was presented before the court, which remanded him in police custody for two days for further investigation.

The police are continuing their investigation into the drug trafficking network that Jatin may be a part of.
