In a swift action, the police arrested Suraj Nitin Verma on charges of theft after he stole a gas cylinder and cash worth Rs16,000 from a house in Chhatta Bazaar.
Jahani Khatoon, a resident of the area, reported the incident, stating that she had left her house, while her son was flying kites on the roof. During her absence, an unknown person entered her room and stole a full gas cylinder and cash. Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, it was revealed that Suraj Nitin Verma, a resident of Mohalla Mishra, was the culprit.
The police registered a case based on the footage and, following their investigation, successfully apprehended Suraj Nitin Verma. He was arrested and the stolen gas cylinder and cash were recovered from him.
The police are continuing their investigation into the matter, and legal proceedings are underway.
