Suraj Dwivedi Arrested with Pistol and Drugs in Kapilvastu

On Friday evening, Kapilvastu police arrested Suraj Dwivedi, a 22-year-old Indian national from Devapar Harnakha, Uttar Pradesh, along with an accomplice, for possessing a pistol and illegal drugs. The two suspects were traveling as pillion riders on a motorcycle driven by Pritam Kumar, en route from Chandrauta to Krishnanagar in Kapilvastu’s Krishnanagar Municipality-8.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Hari Bahadur Oli, confirmed that the authorities recovered a pistol marked ‘Made in Kanpur’ and five rounds of ammunition from Suraj Dwivedi. Along with the firearm, police also seized illegal drugs from the suspects.

The police are continuing their investigation to gather more information on the suspects’ activities and their potential connections to illegal networks.
