Subhakanta Tiwari Arrested with 2.6 kg Ganja in Gurugram

The Gurugram police have arrested a drug peddler, Subhakanta Tiwari, alias Pandit, for possessing 2.681 kg of ganja. The arrest was made by a team led by SI Rajesh Kumar, in charge of the Sikanderpur crime branch, near the Nissan service center in Khandsa village.

Preliminary investigations have identified Tiwari as a resident of Pati Sheetal village in Chhapra district, Bihar. He was caught transporting a large quantity of the illegal substance in Gurugram, a city known for its growing drug-related concerns.

The police spokesperson confirmed that a criminal case has been filed at the Sadar police station under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Tiwari is set to be presented before a judicial court to seek police remand for further interrogation.

Authorities are keen to uncover the source of the drugs and identify the intended recipients in the region. The investigation is ongoing, with the police focusing on dismantling drug trafficking networks in the area.
