St. Paul Man Arrested in Orange City on Drug Charges

Orange City, IA – Jacob James Lamperd-Craig, a 25-year-old from St. Paul, Minnesota, was arrested in Orange City on Sunday, Feb. 9, after being caught with marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The arrest followed a routine traffic stop for speeding on the 1800 block of South Albany Place.

According to the Orange City Police Department, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu. Upon searching the car, they discovered two plastic bags containing a green leafy substance, a metal grinder with more green material, and a small smoking device with burnt marijuana residue.

Lamperd-Craig was charged with first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
