SSB Arrests Two Drug Smugglers at Indo-Nepal Border in Madhubani

On Saturday, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawans from the 48th Battalion in Jaynagar successfully arrested two individuals involved in smuggling narcotics across the Indo-Nepal border in Madhubani. Acting on a tip-off, the SSB jawans intercepted two suspects riding a motorcycle as they entered India from Nepal.

During the operation, authorities seized 53 grams of brown sugar, hidden in a polythene bag, along with Nepali currency worth Rs 17,700 and two cellphones.

The arrested individuals were identified as Manoj Kumar Das (35), a resident of Betaunha village in Jaynagar, and Ravi Kumar (23), also from Jaynagar. Both were handed over to the Jaynagar police for further investigation.

Amit Kumar, SHO of Jaynagar, confirmed the arrest and noted that the investigation is underway.
