South Toms River Man Arrested for Murder of Wife, Cheyanne Juarez

South Toms River, N.J. (FOX26) — A South Toms River man has been arrested and charged in connection to the death of his wife, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities received a 911 call at 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, reporting an unconscious woman at a home on Hummel Drive. When police arrived, they found 30-year-old Cheyanne Juarez lying on the floor, unconscious, with blood on her face and a belt around her neck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prosecutors quickly launched an investigation, revealing that 38-year-old Gustavo Juarez-Perez was responsible for his wife’s death. He was arrested at his residence and taken into custody.

Juarez-Perez has been charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon. He is currently being held at the Ocean County Jail while awaiting a detention hearing.
