South Congaree Trio, Mosely, Pough & Burgess, Arrested for Armed Robbery

SOUTH CONGAREE, S.C. – Three people have been arrested following an extensive investigation into a series of thefts and armed robberies connected to an organized crime spree that targeted victims via Facebook Marketplace.

The South Congaree Police Department arrested 21-year-old Jasmine Sierra Mosely, 26-year-old Shayla Alisia Pough, and 18-year-old Christopher Eugene Burgess Jr. after a five-month investigation into multiple crimes related to online sales.

Authorities stated that the suspects repeatedly conspired to contact potential victims on Facebook Marketplace. They allegedly lured individuals to predetermined locations, where they committed crimes ranging from larceny and breach of trust to armed robbery with deadly weapons.

All three suspects were taken into custody and are now held at Lexington County Jail.

Pough is facing several charges, including breach of trust, obtaining property under false pretenses under $2,000, simple larceny, armed robbery with a deadly weapon, criminal conspiracy, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Burgess and Mosely have both been charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon and criminal conspiracy.

Investigators noted that the crimes occurred over several months, and further investigations are ongoing into additional cases linked to the suspects.
