Sonia Achari & Vaishaya Gaude Arrested for Rs 16 Lakh Job Scam

Margao Police have arrested two individuals for allegedly defrauding a person of Rs 16 lakh under the guise of providing a job in the Indian Navy. The arrested suspects, identified as Sonia Achari from Karwar and Vaishaya Gaude from Sao Jose De Areal, are accused of luring the victim with promises of a Navy job and extorting money in return.

The scam came to light when the victim, after being promised a job in the prestigious Indian Navy, was asked to pay a substantial sum as part of the recruitment process. Upon realizing the fraudulent nature of the offer, the victim filed a complaint with the police, leading to the suspects’ swift arrest.

The police are further investigating the case to determine if there are other victims involved or any larger network operating behind the scam
