Suratkal Police arrested Soni Kumar, a 27-year-old man from Bihar, for attempting to sell 1.5 kg of ganja near Hosabettu. The drugs, valued at Rs30,000, were seized along with a mobile phone during the arrest.
Kumar tried to flee upon spotting the police, but a swift chase led to his capture. The police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and investigations are underway.
