Mooresville, N.C. — Two individuals were arrested after leading Mooresville Police on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle on I-77 on the morning of September 15. Police were initially alerted to the vehicle, which was reported stolen, as it traveled on Highway 150. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspects fled, prompting a chase that continued onto I-77.
The pursuit ended near Remount Road, where one suspect fled on foot but was quickly apprehended. Police took both individuals into custody. The driver, 20-year-old Christian Dos Santos, was charged with:
Felony flee to elude
Felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle
Two counts of hit and run
Careless and reckless driving
Driving without an operator’s license
Dos Santos also faced two active South Carolina warrants for larceny of a motor vehicle and failure to stop for blue lights.
The passenger, 18-year-old Skylar Wilson, was found to have an active common law robbery warrant from Mecklenburg County and was also arrested.
Both suspects remain in custody as they face a range of charges in connection with their crimes.
