TAMPA, Fla. — Six members of a violent Tampa street gang known as the “Alexander Park” gang are facing serious felony charges, which could result in life sentences if convicted. The gang, identified by the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida, Roger B. Handburg, was involved in a range of criminal activities from March 2020 to October 2023.
The accused gang members include Christian Andujar Rivera, 26; Irving Diego Bruzon, 28; Xavier Chase Gardner, 31; Mohamed Nidal Jaber, 32; Julissa Collazo, 27; and Kyle Miller, 33. They are charged with involvement in narcotics distribution, bank fraud, robbery, murder, arson, aggravated assault, and obstruction of justice. The indictment spans a 39-page document detailing their criminal operations.
According to the indictment, the gang operated primarily in Hillsborough County, using residences in Tampa to store firearms, plan violent attacks, and distribute stolen goods and drugs. One notable crime involved a shooting at Scores Gentleman’s Club in April 2022, where a gang member was killed after a dispute. The shooting led to retaliation by the gang, and Rivera, identified as the leader, allegedly murdered a rival member of the “Latin Kings” gang in a strip mall parking lot.
Authorities also uncovered a series of crimes involving fraud, including the purchase of a Jeep Grand Cherokee under false pretenses and subsequent arson to destroy evidence. Investigators linked multiple crime scenes, including a marijuana warehouse burglary where the gang stole hundreds of pounds of marijuana.
The gang’s activities extended beyond Florida to Oregon, California, and Michigan, where they were involved in a series of robberies, stalking, and even abductions. In one case, Rivera, Bruzon, and Jaber were involved in stealing marijuana from a warehouse, marking the gang’s reach across state lines.
Special Agent Kirk Howard called the gang a “sophisticated, well-financed, and ruthless enterprise” responsible for spreading fear and violence across multiple communities. However, with these arrests, authorities believe they have dismantled the Alexander Park gang and significantly increased public safety.
The accused face a range of charges in multiple states, with some awaiting further charges. Authorities continue to investigate whether other members of the gang will be arrested.
