Six Men Charged in Cattle Theft from Anglesey Farm

Six men have been charged in connection with the theft of 14 cows from a farm near Llanerchymedd, Anglesey, in December 2022. The arrests come after a thorough investigation by the Rural Crime Team, which led to several warrants being executed.

The cattle were stolen from a shed on the evening of December 10th, 2022. Following the theft, officers conducted searches in April 2023 at two farming locations in Stoke on Trent, where they recovered stolen cattle, a tractor, and a quad bike.

The investigation, which was supported by the North Wales Police drone unit, Cheshire Police, and the National Construction and Agriculture Theft Team, resulted in charges against six individuals for conspiring to commit burglary with intent to steal.

The men charged are:

Liam Kettleborough, 29, of Coventry Road, Church Lawford, Rugby.
Daniel Jones, 30, of Maenddwyn, Llanerchymedd, Anglesey.
Jack Billington, 22, of Llyndir Lane, Rossett, Wrexham.
Michael McLeod, 55, of Bennetts Lane, Higher Kinnerton, Flintshire.
Stanley Jones, 26, of Broughton Heights, Pentre Broughton, Wrexham.
Clifford Smith, 64, of Whitfield Road, Stoke on Trent.
The men will appear at Caernarfon Magistrates Court on April 3rd to face the charges. This case highlights the continued efforts by law enforcement to tackle rural crime and safeguard agricultural property.
