Police have successfully apprehended six drug peddlers in various operations across Pulwama, Sopore, Srinagar, and Kulgam, recovering significant quantities of illicit substances.
On Sunday, authorities reported that Ishfaq Majeed Wani, a resident of Pulwama, was arrested in Muchpona after 18.70 grams of heroin were found in his possession. In Sopore, Muneeb Jabar Dar, hailing from Muqam Shaheedmir Bomai Sopore, was detained when his vehicle was intercepted at Laiser Crossing. The vehicle search led to the discovery of 1.028 kilograms of cannabis-like substance.
In Srinagar, Love Kumar and Vipin Kumar, both from Delhi, were arrested near the Flood Channel at Tengpora after a substantial quantity of contraband was recovered. In Kulgam’s Furrah area, Mohammad Rafiq Sheikh, also known as ‘Raff Dozer,’ was caught with 248 grams of cannabis, and Waseem Ahmad Bhat of Gandhwani DH Pora was arrested with 1.235 kilograms of ground cannabis.
All arrested individuals have been booked under relevant sections of the law, and investigations are ongoing.
