Six Delhi Natives Arrested for Cheating Tour Package Victims in Kollam

Kollam West police have arrested six individuals from Delhi for defrauding several victims of lakhs of rupees by offering a fraudulent tour package. The arrested individuals, identified as Rahul Kumar (26), Sad Saifi (21), Harpreet Banzal (27), Gagan Salooja (26), Kapil Singh (26), and Ankit Singh (23), were taken into custody from hotels in Thiruvananthapuram city on Saturday.

According to police, the accused lured victims by offering a free tour package after they paid for a membership with their company. Victims were instructed to visit a hotel in Kollam and pay an initial amount of Rs 1 lakh. However, days after making the payment, the victims were asked to pay an additional Rs 1 lakh due to a sudden change in policy. This raised suspicions, and when a few victims requested their money back, the accused stopped responding to their calls.

This led to the filing of complaints, and the police took swift action to arrest the suspects. Investigations are ongoing as police work to uncover more details regarding the scam. The arrested individuals are now in custody, facing charges for cheating and fraud.
