Six Arrested in Omaha Sex Trafficking Bust Following Theft Report

Omaha Police have arrested six individuals in connection with a sex trafficking investigation after a theft report led authorities to uncover two juvenile victims. The incident began with a call to the AmericInn motel near South 15th and Spring Street on Monday, where a reported theft triggered an investigation that revealed disturbing evidence of sex trafficking.

As investigators from the Omaha Police and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security delved deeper, they identified two minors believed to be victims of sex trafficking. Over the next two days, authorities arrested six suspects in connection with the crimes. The individuals arrested were:

Vishalgir Goswami, 31
Eduardo Perdomo, 36
Alfredo Zambrano-Hurtado, 24
Sumit Chaudhari, 23
Kavankumar Patel, 26
Michel Martinez-Gonzalez, 28
All six were booked on charges related to the sex trafficking of minors. In addition to trafficking charges, Chaudhari and Patel face first-degree sexual assault charges, while Perdomo was charged with child pornography, and Martinez-Gonzalez faces an additional charge of flight to avoid arrest.

The discovery has led to further investigation, with authorities emphasizing the growing need for vigilance and collaboration to combat such crimes. Law enforcement continues to investigate the situation, and officials are hopeful that additional victims can be identified and rescued.
