Six Arrested in Nanded Murder Case, Including Jagjit Singh and Shubham Khelbude

In a significant development in the ongoing Nanded murder case, the police have arrested Jagjit Singh alias Jaggi, Shubham Khelbude, and Gurdeep Singh alias Deepa. The arrests were made after a comprehensive investigation led by Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav.

The accused, who hail from Nanded, Maharashtra, and Raipur, Punjab’s Ropar district, were apprehended alongside the recovery of two firearms: a 12-bore pump-action gun with 15 cartridges and a .32 bore pistol with eight cartridges. These arrests follow the earlier capture of Jagdish Singh alias Jagga, Shubhdeep Singh alias Shubh, and Sachindeep Singh alias Sachin, bringing the total number of individuals arrested in the case to six.

According to DGP Yadav, Jagjit Singh played a pivotal role in providing logistics, safe houses, and coordination for the shooters involved in the murder, which was masterminded by Rinda, a cross-border gangster. Investigations also revealed the involvement of Dilpreet alias Baba, a jailed gangster and associate of Rinda, who facilitated safe houses for the accused in Punjab.

Yadav further noted that Jagjit Singh is wanted in several serious cases, including murder, attempt to murder, extortion, and threatening. Shubham Khelbude is wanted in extortion and threat-related cases in Nanded and had evaded arrest by fleeing to Punjab. Both men were heavily involved in illegal activities such as weapon procurement, extortion money collection, and providing logistics support for their operations under Rinda’s direction.

The third individual arrested, Gurdeep Singh alias Deepa, was accused of providing shelter and support to the fugitives, allowing them to escape and continue their criminal activities in the region.
