ATLANTA, Ga. — Six people have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on August 6 near Atlantic Station, according to Atlanta police. The shooting took place around 3:40 a.m. on the 500 block of Bishop Street, where officers discovered a man in the driver’s seat of a gray Jeep with a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition but later died.
Police say their investigation suggests the victim may have been involved in multiple vehicle break-ins on Peachtree Road, just prior to the shooting. The suspect reportedly shot the victim multiple times, striking him fatally.
The victim’s identity has not been disclosed, and the investigation is ongoing.
In the course of their investigation, Atlanta police arrested six individuals. Cedron Tigner, already in custody on charges of prowling, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and theft by receiving stolen property, was charged with murder on September 2. Justin Burton was arrested in DeKalb County on September 16, followed by Matt Washington, who was apprehended in Clayton County on October 2. Gary Price was arrested in Conyers on October 28, while Darius Blake and Malachi Sanabria were arrested in Morrow on November 12.
All six suspects have been charged with murder in connection with the victim’s death.
