BLOUNT COUNTY, AL — Six men, including an assistant high school basketball coach, were arrested following an undercover sting operation aimed at catching child sexual predators. The Blount County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrests in a Facebook post on February 13, 2025, noting that no actual children were involved in the operation.
The investigation targeted individuals attempting to meet minors for sexual acts in exchange for money. The suspects communicated with undercover agents posing as a 15-year-old girl. They were led to a predetermined location in Blount County, where they believed they were meeting the victim. Upon arrival, they were arrested by law enforcement officers.
The arrested suspects are:
Anthony Anyakwo, 36, of Birmingham, AL
Cameron Johnson, 24, of Pinson, AL
Jamie Underwood, 49, of Blountsville, AL
Everardo Aleantra, 44, of Helena, AL
Caleb Marsh, 25, of Moody, AL
Christopher Thompson, 33, of Adamsville, AL (assistant basketball coach at Minor High School)
Christopher Thompson, an assistant coach at Minor High School in Adamsville, has been placed on administrative leave pending further investigation.
All six men face serious charges, including:
Human trafficking in the first degree
Traveling to meet a child to perform a sexual act
Electronic solicitation of a child
The operation was part of an ongoing effort by Blount County authorities to combat child sexual exploitation. Law enforcement officials are continuing their investigation, and additional arrests may follow.
The Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with further information related to the case to come forward.
