Six Arrested for Ganja and Synthetic Drug Sales in Pannimadai

Six youths were arrested on Friday at Pannimadai Junction for their involvement in the sale of ganja and synthetic drugs. The police confiscated 1.2 kg of ganja and 102 grams of methamphetamine powder, along with two cars, two motorcycles, and six mobile phones from the suspects.

The arrested individuals were identified as G Gowtham (26) from Namakkal district, H Abhimanyu (27) of Kovaipudur, TA Fazil (22) of South Ukkadam, B Mohammed Arshith (27) of Karumbukadai, I Izas (27) of South Ukkadam, and Bevin (23) of Sungam.

A team led by Special Sub-Inspector A Saravanan from the enforcement bureau conducted the operation after receiving a tip-off about illegal drug sales in the area. Initial investigations revealed that the suspects had sourced the synthetic drugs from Bengaluru and were distributing them to local youth.

In addition to the arrests, police have formed two special teams to apprehend two other individuals, Vinoth and Hariharasudhan, who remain at large. A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.
