Sirsa Police arrested five individuals on charges of drug trafficking and seized 29 kilograms of poppy husk near Rania grain market. The arrested suspects have been identified as Narender Singh, Baljinder Singh, Balvinder Singh, and Mangat Singh, all residents of Rania, along with Ravi, a resident of Bathinda, Punjab.

The arrest followed a routine check, where Inspector Dinesh Kumar and his team signaled a white car to stop. Upon inspection, they discovered the contraband hidden in several bags.

The accused had reportedly brought the poppy husk from Rajasthan and were planning to sell it in the Rania area. They were booked under Section 15(b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
