Siliguri Police Arrest Two in Pokai Jote Theft Recover Stolen Items

In a successful operation by the undercover police of Pradhan Nagar police station, two individuals were arrested in connection with a theft case in Siliguri, with all the stolen items recovered.

The incident occurred on November 30, when Debashish Dutta, the owner of a house in the Pokai Jote area under Ward No. 46, went out for some work. Taking advantage of the vacant house, the thieves carried out the burglary.

Upon returning home, Dutta discovered that his house had been burglarized and immediately filed a complaint with the Pradhan Nagar police station. In response, the police launched an investigation, which led to the arrest of Rohit Oraon on Monday night.

During interrogation, Rohit revealed that Gaurav Oraon, his accomplice, was also involved in the crime. This led to the arrest of Gaurav shortly after.

With further questioning, the police were able to recover all the stolen goods. Both suspects were presented in Siliguri court on Tuesday, and the police have confirmed that their investigation is ongoing.

This operation highlights the effectiveness of Pradhan Nagar police in swiftly addressing property crimes and recovering stolen items, ensuring justice for the victim.
