Sikkim Police Arrest Sanjay Pradhan for Drug Trafficking in Singtam

In a significant operation conducted by the Singtam Police on Monday, authorities intercepted a vehicle suspected of trafficking illegal substances. The silver ECO SPORT, bearing the registration number SK 01 PA 5776, was halted near the Patanjali Store, close to Bhanu Park, Singtam. The driver, identified as Sanjay Pradhan (42), also known as Salman, a resident of Mangan currently residing in Bojoghari, Gangtok, was arrested in connection with the trafficking.

During the operation, police seized a substantial quantity of suspected brown sugar, a controlled substance. Following the arrest, the Singtam Police filed a case under the Sikkim Anti-Drugs Act (SADA) and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).

Authorities are investigating further to determine the extent of the trafficking network involved.
