Shreveport Man Arrested for 13th Theft Charge After Chase

A Shreveport man, Tony Carver, was arrested on January 6 after a theft at Walgreens, marking his 13th theft-related charge over the past year. Carver, known to authorities as a serial thief, was reported stealing items from the Walgreens located at 3100 N. Market St.

When officers arrived at the scene, Carver appeared to be cooperative but suddenly fled, removing his sweater and running through nearby woods. The chase ended when officers found him lying in a ditch on North Market Street near the ramp to Interstate 220.

Carver now faces charges of resisting an officer and organized retail theft. Authorities have linked him to multiple theft incidents across the area in the past year.
