Two drug peddlers, Sham from Kotli Pain and Simraan Khan from Jakhani, were arrested on Wednesday in Chak Magiote, Rehambal area of Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir, police confirmed. Authorities seized 5.7 grams of heroin from their possession.
A case has been registered against the duo under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Police spokesperson revealed that Sham is also wanted in several other cases involving drug trafficking and theft.
The arrests come as part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement to crack down on drug-related crimes in the region.
