Granite Falls, NC – Shadow Vincent Walsh, 30, was arrested on March 11 by Hickory Police on multiple child sex offense charges, including:
Three counts of indecent liberties with a child
Two counts of statutory rape of a child (15 or younger)
One count of statutory sex offense with a child (15 or younger)
Walsh, a registered sex offender, was convicted in March 2019 in Watauga County for third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, serving 6 to 17 months in prison.
A coordinated law enforcement operation involving the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, Hickory Police, and Newton Police led to his arrest at his Granite Falls residence. The Caldwell County SWAT team assisted in his apprehension.
Walsh was initially held without bond at the Catawba County Detention Facility, but his bond was later set at $600,000. He is scheduled to appear in District Court on April 2.
