Seven cyber fraudsters have been arrested by Gurugram Cyber Police over the last two months for allegedly duping hundreds of people across the country in a scam amounting to over Rs87 crores, officials reported on Wednesday.
The police recovered Rs7.60 lakh in cash, along with seven mobile phones and three SIM cards from the accused. The individuals were involved in various cyber crimes, including cyber bullying, stalking, impersonation, and fraudulent investment schemes.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Cyber), Priyanshu Dewan stated that 10,956 complaints and 399 cases have been lodged against the accused nationwide. Among them, 22 cases were registered in Haryana, with six cases reported in Gurugram.

Police further revealed that after reviewing data from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (I4C), they discovered the group had defrauded people of a total of ₹87.06 crores across the country. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of their crimes.
