Seven Arrested in Grapevine’s $10M Warehouse Theft Crime Ring
Grapevine, Texas — In a significant law enforcement operation, Grapevine police have arrested seven individuals linked to a multimillion-dollar crime ring targeting warehouses across North Texas. The group’s latest heist involved cutting a hole into a warehouse to steal nearly $500,000 worth of high-end electronics.
The investigation, which uncovered a broader operation spanning several North Texas cities, revealed that the suspects had been active for over a year. Authorities were able to connect various thefts in neighboring cities, leading to the arrests of the seven suspects, who were taken into custody between August and November.
Arrested Suspects:
- Adrian Ellison, 38, of Dallas
- Julius Green, 40, of Dallas
- Willie Hill, 38, of Dallas
- Eric White, 33, of Dallas
- Fayzal Kara, 40, of Carrollton
- Ronnie Vaden, 33, of Dallas
- Derrick White, 38, of Dallas
Targeting High-End Electronics
The suspects primarily targeted warehouses that stored valuable merchandise, such as cell phones, sunglasses, and virtual reality headsets. In one incident in May, the group stole half a million dollars’ worth of Ray-Ban sunglasses and VR headsets. Surveillance footage from inside one of the warehouses showed one suspect passing boxes through a small hole in the garage door.
Grapevine Police Sgt. Oscar Ramirez explained that the suspects used similar methods to gain entry: “They were cutting holes in the garage doors,” he said. The group also stole a box truck from a nearby location to transport the stolen goods.
A Well-Coordinated Operation
As police pieced together the crimes, they discovered a pattern of similar burglaries in other cities, including Plano, Coppell, and Fort Worth. Detectives used surveillance footage, drones, and license plate tracking to monitor the group’s movements. In August, Grapevine police attempted to intercept a burglary in progress, but the suspects managed to escape, with one arrested later that night.
Cell phone records played a crucial role in linking the suspects to the crimes. Investigators identified the individuals involved as lookouts, thieves, and those responsible for distributing the stolen merchandise.
Felony Charges and $10M in Stolen Goods
All seven suspects are facing felony charges for engaging in organized criminal activity. Grapevine police estimate that the group’s total haul exceeds $10 million in stolen goods.
“This is a huge win for us and for the community,” Sgt. Ramirez said. “We are ecstatic to get these criminals off the streets, and hopefully, they’ll be behind bars for a long time.”
Currently, authorities are not searching for any additional suspects, though they continue to monitor similar activity in the region.
