Seven Arrested for Gambling in Beedingudde, Udupi

Seven individuals were arrested for engaging in gambling and playing cards in Beedingudde, Udupi, on March 16. The police seized Rs 32,800 in cash along with gambling items like cards, candles, and a matchbox.

Puneeth Kumar B E, the sub-inspector at Udupi City Police Station, led the raid after receiving reliable information about a group of 5-6 individuals who were gambling near Diana Talkies Kukkikatte in Badagubettu Village. The group had gathered at the Beedingudde Mahatma Gandhi Open Air Auditorium, lighting candles and indulging in the game.

The accused individuals, identified as Nagaraj, Yamunappa, Majunath, Amin Sab, Sidappa, Guru, and Parashuram, were arrested after the police seized the Rs 32,800 in cash, gambling cards, candles, and a matchbox.

A case has been registered at the Udupi City Police Station, and further investigation is ongoing.
