Sedrick Hall Jr. Charged in Death of 4-Year-Old Channin

OCILLA, Ga. (WALB) – Authorities in Ocilla have arrested 24-year-old Sedrick Hall Jr. in connection with the tragic death of 4-year-old Channin Wooden.

Hall, who was reportedly the boyfriend of Channin’s mother, was home supervising four children, including Channin, when the incident occurred. The child’s mother, who was at work at the time, notified police after discovering what had happened.

Law enforcement has not released specific details about the injuries sustained by Channin or the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.

The Ocilla Police Department led the investigation in coordination with the Irwin County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). Based on their findings, Hall was arrested and charged with:

Felony Murder

Cruelty to Children – First Degree

Aggravated Battery

The case remains under investigation.
