Security Forces Arrest Md. Tajuddin and Zamkholun Baite in Drug Busts

Security forces have made significant arrests in separate anti-drug operations across the state, seizing large quantities of contraband substances.

One of the arrested individuals, Md. Tajuddin (29) from Lilong Litan Makhong, was apprehended on Thursday near Anita STD High School, Kwakta Pangal Lamkhai, under Phougakchao Ikhai Police Station in Bishnupur district. During the operation, police recovered 1,041 grams of brown sugar, a four-wheeler (registration number AS 26C 8774), and a mobile phone from Tajuddin’s possession.

In a separate raid, Zamkholun Baite (40) from Songdo village, Churachandpur Sub-Division, was arrested at Moreh Gate No. 1 near the Assam Rifles checkpost, under Moreh Police Station in Tengnoupal district. Authorities seized seven packets of WIY tablets, weighing approximately 1.5 kg, along with a mobile phone and a four-wheeler (registration number DL 3C BQ 2546).

Both arrested individuals and the seized items have been handed over to the respective police stations for further legal proceedings. These successful operations highlight the continued efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
