Scottie Lee Brooks Arrested in Daviess County After Chase
Brooks faces a series of charges following theft investigations.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Scottie Lee Brooks after investigating several thefts and burglaries that occurred over the summer. On Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Yelvington-Grandview Road to arrest Brooks, but he fled into a wooded area and managed to elude capture.
However, on Friday morning, detectives spotted Brooks in the Yelvington area, where he was pulling out of a driveway in the 9300 block of KY 405. When deputies attempted to pull him over, Brooks fled, sparking a vehicle chase. After abandoning his vehicle on Yelvington-Grandview Road, he continued to run from authorities.
A perimeter was established, and Brooks was eventually located in the 1000 block of Yelvington-Grandview Road, where he was taken into custody. Following questioning at the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, Brooks was charged and transported to the Daviess County Detention Center.
Brooks faces numerous charges, including:
Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (2 counts)
Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (Police Officer)
Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree
Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree
Disregarding Stop Sign
Failure to or Improper Signal (2 counts)
Failure to Wear Seatbelts
Criminal Trespassing 2nd Degree
Burglary 3rd Degree
Tampering with Physical Evidence
Failure to Appear Bench Warrants (3 counts)
Failure to Pay Fine Bench Warrant
