Schodack Woman Arrested for Burglary and Theft

SCHODACK, NY — On December 10, 2024, Jessmynda M. Dosch-Evangelista, 33, of Schodack, was arrested by New York State Police on multiple charges, including burglary, following a reported break-in at a Schodack residence.

At approximately 2:17 PM, troopers responded to a call about a burglary in progress at a home in Schodack. Upon arrival, officers located Dosch-Evangelista hiding in an outbuilding on the property and took her into custody.

According to authorities, Dosch-Evangelista had unlawfully entered the enclosed porch of the residence and accessed the victim’s vehicle, from which she took several clothing items. She also attempted to enter the house, causing damage before fleeing to the outbuilding. When arrested, Dosch-Evangelista was still in possession of the stolen clothing.

She was arraigned at the Schodack Town Court and subsequently remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility without bail.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with additional information to contact local law enforcement.
