Savannah Belgard Arrested for Identity Theft in West Monroe

WEST MONROE, La. (KARD/KTVE) — Savannah Belgard, a 28-year-old woman, is facing accusations of identity theft in West Monroe. According to an arrest warrant filed with the Ouachita Parish Clerk of Court, Belgard allegedly abused a lease-to-own agreement with a local boutique, C’est La Vie Boutique, located on the 300 block of Bridge Street.

Belgard is accused of attempting to obtain two credit cards under the name of the business owner and taking out a loan for more than $12,000 in the owner’s name. Court documents reveal that she also cut all contact with the victim and allegedly emptied the business of its inventory and property. The business owner continues to discover additional lines of credit opened in their name.

Belgard was booked into the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center on Friday, December 27, 2024, and later released on her recognizance, as confirmed by the Ouachita Parish Booking website.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are continuing to gather more information. Updates will be provided as the case develops.
