Manjeswaram police apprehended 24-year-old Savad on the night of February 12, in connection with the murder of 45-year-old construction foreman, Suresh.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when Suresh, originally from Kollam but residing in Annur, Payyanur, for the past 15 years, was fatally stabbed near the Uppala fish market.
Reports suggest that the altercation leading to the murder took place while the accused, Savad, was in an intoxicated state. This argument eventually escalated, resulting in Suresh’s tragic death.
