Sartaz Alam Arrested for Cocaine Shipment Worth Rs 1 Crore

In a major drug bust, the Bengal Special Task Force (STF) recovered a large consignment of cocaine valued at Rs 1 crore, which was en route to pubs in Kolkata and Siliguri. The STF managed to apprehend Sartaz Alam, a 42-year-old individual, on Saturday in Siliguri. Authorities revealed that the illicit drugs were intended for distribution in the city’s nightlife spots. Alam was arrested after the successful interception of the shipment. Investigations into the drug trafficking network are ongoing, with police focusing on the larger operation behind this seizure.
