Sarah Gorman, Cherokee County Teacher, Arrested on Theft Charges

Cherokee County, Georgia – Sarah Gorman, a kindergarten teacher at Sixes Elementary School in Canton, has been placed on administrative leave following her arrest on charges of burglary and theft.

According to Cherokee County Schools, Gorman was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. The school district clarified that the charges are unrelated to her role as an educator and stated that the investigation is still ongoing.

A spokesperson for Cherokee County Schools emphasized the importance of student and staff safety and stated that any inappropriate conduct would not be tolerated. The district has offered families the opportunity to contact school administrators or the Cherokee County School District Police Department for further information.

Gorman remains on leave while the legal proceedings unfold.
