SAN JOSE, CA — Freddy Spore, a 41-year-old San Jose resident, was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of committing multiple retail thefts at a business over nearly a year, starting in November 2023. According to the San Jose Police Department (SJPD), the thefts occurred at a location on the 700 block of Ridder Park Drive, which appears to be a Lowe’s Home Improvement store.

The San Jose Police Department’s Organized Retail Theft (ORT) Detail initiated an investigation into the thefts, which resulted in thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise. After months of investigation, investigators identified Spore as the suspect.

Spore was arrested on Monday with the assistance of the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, who helped secure an arrest warrant. He was subsequently booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for grand theft-related charges.
