Samantha Harris, 27, was arrested this week in connection with a 2023 armed robbery after being on the run for several months. She had been indicted along with two other suspects, Donovan Hamm and Anthony Barnett, both of whom are already serving prison sentences following their convictions.
The robbery occurred in December 2023 at an apartment on Rocksprings Court. According to court records, Harris allegedly set up the victim, Tommy Lee Smith, by inviting him into the apartment. Once inside, Smith was confronted and robbed at gunpoint by Hamm and Barnett, Harris’s boyfriend at the time.
Hamm and Barnett were arrested on the same day as the robbery, and both later pleaded guilty to the charges against them. In March 2024, they were each sentenced to five years in prison, followed by 10 years of probation. Harris, however, was not located, and a bench warrant was issued for her arrest.
After several months on the run, Harris was arrested on Monday and is scheduled for arraignment on February 18, 2025. She faces charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and armed robbery.
Detectives continue to investigate the details of the robbery and may pursue additional charges.
