BEND, Ore. — Salvador Edward Juarez, 50, was arrested after a multi-agency SWAT team found him naked on private property in Oregon. Authorities in Ohio had listed Juarez as a fugitive with a nationwide felony arrest warrant.

Juarez, wanted by Shasta County on charges including assault with a deadly weapon and trespassing, was located after a tip from the Redding Police Department. The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) received information that he might be in the area, leading to a search warrant for his arrest and any evidence tied to crimes in both California and Oregon.

On Sunday, after extensive ground and aerial surveillance, the DCSO, along with the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team, moved in to arrest Juarez. He was discovered unclothed and taken into custody without incident.

Juarez was booked into jail on charges of attempted murder, trespassing, and assault with a deadly weapon, with a bail set at $1 million.
