Sachin Chavan Arrested by Ratnagiri LCB for Aggravated Theft

In a major step to reduce theft cases in the district, the Ratnagiri Local Crime Branch (LCB) arrested Sachin Ramsahjeevan Chavan, a 21-year-old from Ajgani, Navanagar Lavel in Khed taluka.

Following directives from Superintendent of Police Nitin Dattatray Bagate and Additional Superintendent Jayshree Gaikwad, the operation was led by Police Inspector Nitin Dhere. On May 28, during a routine patrol in the Lavel area, officers noticed a youth exhibiting suspicious behavior. Upon inquiry, he was identified as Sachin Chavan.

Chavan is wanted in two cases (111/2025 and 118/2025) registered at Khed Police Station under several IPC sections. He has been charged under IPC Sections 331(4), 305, and 3(5) for aggravated theft.

The LCB has launched a thorough investigation to determine if Chavan can provide leads on stolen property linked to these crimes. Authorities are actively pursuing further details to curb theft activities in the region.
